After we had a great day touring two hospitals today, several students visited TTCM again. However, this time instead of touring the center, we got massages! We opted for the Thai massage with the herbal compress. This center is different than a typical place many people get massages in Thailand because it is medical center, so they have doctors and nurses as part of the staff as well. When we arrived the nurses had us fill out a brief form that included our height, weight, current medical conditions, and drug allergies. They then measured our blood pressure because they will not perform Thai massages if the systolic blood pressure is >160. Next, we met with the doctor who went over our information again before we began the massage. The massage lasted 90 minutes and it was the perfect end to our day. They even served us delicious hot tea at the end!
